Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup crisco
2/3 to 3/4 cup milk
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut in crisco with pastry cutter until it becomes corse crumbs.
Make a well and add milk all at once. Stir quickly with a fork just until the dough follows fork around bowl.
Turn dough on to lightly floured surface. Dough should be soft. Knead gently about 10-12 strokes.
Roll dough out to about 1/2 inch thick. Dip cutter in flour and cut dough straight down — no twisting.
Let dough sit and rise while the oven preheats. Do not put in oven until the temperature reaches 450.
Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes.
