Date Nut Balls

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup walnuts (chopped)
8 oz. pkg of dates (chopped)
2 cups rice krispies
1 teaspoon vanilla
powdered sugar

Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar, nuts, eggs and dates.

Stir and cook 10 minutes until thick and bubbly.

Cool slightly, and add rice krispies and vanilla.

Cool to the touch, roll into balls and roll in powdered sugar.

Let rest and roll in the powdered sugar again.
